The Grease Plant

The grease manufacturing plant is state-of-the-art meeting high international standards. The initial capacity of the plant is 850 tons / annum with potential to increase production capacity up to three times. The cutting-edge manufacturing technology has been deployed to produce the finest quality greases. At the heart of the manufacturing process is the grease kettle, which is manufactured and supplied by Patterson Industries Canada, the undisputed leader in grease equipment manufacturing technology. The grease plant has a state-of-the-art laboratory, for which the lab equipment has been supplied by Koehler USA.

Transformer Oil Plant

The Transformer Oil Plant is the first of its kind in the country. At present, MJLBL is one of the key suppliers of Transformer Oil in Bangladesh. The major clients for this product include Bangladesh Government’s various power generation and distribution arms, like: Bangladesh Power Development Board, Rural Electrification Board, etc. Until now, total requirement of Transformer Oil is being imported to meet the market demand. Thus, ensuring the security of supply and maintaining the Di-electric strength (a key quality indicator) of the product was always a challenging task.

The installation of the Transformer Oil processing plant at the company’s existing Lube Oil Blending Plant provides enormous flexibility with enhanced capability to better serve its valued customers, including important installations of the Government.

In the process of manufacturing the product, MJLBL has installed the skid-mounted high vacuum degasifier, which helps remove the moisture while the fluid passes through the heating element and vacuum chamber of the degasifier. After this process, the transformer oil is filled through PLC controlled filling equipment, and subsequently, filled into drums that are blanketed by Nitrogen Gas. The product being produced through this uniquely designed process is of Di-electric Strength of above 60 kv. The plant provides unprecedented customer satisfaction with regards to maintaining quality, as customers, if desired, can physically check the Di-electric strengths of the product before it is filled into the drum.

Viscosity Index (VI) Improver Plant

The Viscosity Index (VI) Improver Plant is the first of its kind in Bangladesh. The VI Improver is an additive used in all multi-grade engine oils and automotive gear oils blended at the Lube Oil Blending Plant of the company. The company has installed the world’s leading vessel mounted Silverson Duplex Disintegrator Dissolver to produce VI Improver.

Silverson is the world leader in design and manufacturing of high shear mixers for rapid dissolving of viscosity index improver into lube oils, ranging from high shear In-Line Mixers to complete solubilising plants. In the core manufacturing process, the vessel mounted Silverson Duplex Disintegrator Dissolver coupled to a Silverson high shear In-Line mixer has the unique capacity to disintegrate and solubilise larger chunks or blocks of polymer. The same unique VI Improver manufacturing process of Silverson is being commonly used by the almost all the major oil companies like: ExxonMobil, Chevron, and many more.
